Churches
Even though Telendos is only a small island it has an abundance of churches. Set on the rocky coastline is Ayios Yiorgios - the church of St George so called due to the legend that behind the church lies the horse hoof marks in the rock said to be St George's steed.
Ayia Panaya (St Maria's Church) on the pathway to Hoklakas beach is the main church on Telendos and has a big celebration in it's honour on August 14th.
The ruins of Ayios Vasilios are the oldest on Telendos and within the ruins you can still find the occasional piece of pottery or piece of carved marble.

Ayios Haralambos is set within the grounds of On The Rocks Cafe; no one really knows the date of the church - there seems to be a mixture of ages. Along with the ruins of the church there are pipes said to be part of a old sauna. Ayia Panaya is another church and is within the grounds of the cemetery.
